Come join the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience in conjunction with The Hilt Estate and the Vandenberg SpaceX Culinary team for a wonderful evening of exceptional wines and delicious food created by Chef Travis Westrope of SpaceX.
Travis has recently returned to the Central coast after spending the last 15 years working in kitchens in the Napa Valley, including at Michael Chiarello’s Bottega Ristorante and more recently as the Executive Chef at the acclaimed Stag’s Leap Wine Cellar for almost 7 years.
Travis’ family has been in the Lompoc Valley for 150 years, and he is excited to showcase the splendor of Lompoc along with some of the reigons best wines from The Hilt Estate. The Hilt Estate vineyards are planted near 13 unobstructed miles from the ocean on the west. This unique, large and sprawling property offers a range of altitudes, aspects, soil types, and microclimates, giving winemaker Matt Dees a patchwork of vineyard parcels from which to select grapes and create wines with distinctive styles.
